Today we are going to talk about something fun, stipping. Get your mind out of the gutter, not that kind of stripping! One of the Airstream blog topics we wanted to tackle is the renovations… good, bad and ugly. Our Argosy came to us with this fun (insert sarcasm) retro vinyl wallpaper. Now we normally love most vintage things, just not this one.
Vinyl Wallpaper…
Not all vintage campers have vinyl wallpaper but we have learned many do. I suppose that it’s not the worst and we have also seen many people simply paint over it which isn’t a bad option, it just isn’t what we envision for our Airstream. After lots of research, we found that with the right tools we could strip the wallpaper down to the aluminum which was, in fact, the look we were hoping for!
